Shift Details:

• Schedule Details: 24-hour in-house/beeper call from 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Call Details: EMTALA call coverage.
• Number of Shifts Needed per Month: 6-7 shifts with potential for more
• Procedures: Routine Delivery (Vaginal, Low Forceps), Decision-Making for C-Section, Complicated Delivery (C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc.), VBAC’s, and Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations. GYN Call coverage is also required.
• Certifications Needed: BLS;DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate
• Patient Population/Case Load: Adult (100% Inpatient), averaging 1-6 patients per day. Facility averages 140-190 L&D Triage visits per month and 700-800 total deliveries annually (low volume of C-section patients).
• Case Mix: Inpatient/Hospital-Based
• Duties: Routine Delivery (Vaginal, Low Forceps), Decision-Making for C-Section, Complicated Delivery (C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc.), VBAC’s, and Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations. GYN Call coverage is also required.
• Facility Details: Nursery Level II. Onsite Labs & Ultrasound available.
• Support Staff: Daily Midwife coverage (Midwives will take call and deliver their own patients).

Licensing and Privileging:

• License: A Kentucky state license or an IMLC membership is required.
• Willing to License: No
• Estimated Privileging Timeline: 90 days
