Shift Details

• Requested Date of Coverage and Schedule: Start Date: December 18, 2026 (Ongoing). Major Need for December 18-25 to cover maternity leave.
• Coverage Type: 24 Hour Beeper Call Only
• Call Details: Beeper call for both assigned and unassigned patients with a 30-minute response time required (100% callback rate).
• Call Volume: Averages 0-3 phone consults, 4-6 patients seen, and 4 admissions per 24 hours
• Procedures and Skills Required
  • Low risk pregnancy
  • High risk pregnancy
  • FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
  • OB Ultrasounds (Performance/interpretation, Level I/Screening, Level II/Targeted)
  • Amniocentesis
  • Routine delivery (Vaginal, Decision-making for c-section, Complicated delivery)
  • C-section
  • Breech
  • Multiple births
  • Abruptions
  • VBAC'S
  • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
  • Office/minor gynecology
  • Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only, and Operative/major)
• Certifications Needed: ACLS
• Patient Volume: 4-6 patients per shift in hospital, and the facility averages 150 deliveries per year
• Practice Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient (Stroke Certified)
• Duties: Rounding on both assigned and unassigned patients, and admissions are required.
• Support Staff: Hospital staff RNs and MAs, CNM (No APP or resident/teaching supervision required)
• Number of Beds: 11
• EMR in Use: Athenahealth; McKesson
• Job Details: Intermediate Fetal Monitoring is required.
