Shift Details

• Call Details: Beeper call for both assigned and unassigned patients with a 30-minute response time required (5:1 call ratio and 20% callback rate)
• Call Volume: Averages 15 phone consults, 8 patients seen, and 6 admissions per 24 hours
• Procedures and Skills Required
  • Low risk and high risk pregnancy management
  • FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
  • OB Ultrasounds (Performance/interpretation, Level I/Screening, Level II/Targeted)
  • Routine delivery (Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for c-section, Complicated delivery)
  • C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's
  • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
  • Office/minor gynecology
  • Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only, and Operative/major)
  • Laser certification
• Patient Volume: 10-15 patients per shift, and the facility averages 1200 deliveries per year
• Facility Deliveries: Averages 1200 deliveries per year
• Certifications Needed: BLS
• Case Mix: Inpatient and Outpatient (Trauma Level 3, Stroke Certified)
• Duties: Rounding on both assigned and unassigned patients, and admissions are required
• Support Staff: 6 RNs and 1 PA/NP
• Supervision: Provider will be required to supervise Advance Practice Providers, and resident or teaching supervision is also required
• EMR: Cerner
• Number of Beds: 15

• License: An active Arizona state license or an IMLC membership is required.
