Shift Details:

• Estimated Start Date: January 1, 2027 (Ongoing)
• Schedule Details: 1 week per month, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, along with 1 weekend of call coverage per month.
• Call Details: Beeper call with a 15-30 minute response time (1:4 ratio).
• Weekend Call Hours: Friday at 4:30 PM to Monday at 7:30 AM.
• Coverage Needed: The facility is willing to accept candidates for the full requirement or split the weekday and weekend coverage into separate assignments.
• Procedures: Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices, and PEG), Small Bowel biopsy, Lower GI endoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, and Colonoscopy (with biopsy and excision of polyp)
• Certifications Needed: Board Certified in Gastroenterology, ACLS, BLS
• Patient Population/Case Load: 10-15 patients per shift
• Practice Setting: Inpatient (Stroke Certified)
• Duties: Rounding on unassigned patients (no admissions required).
• Department Details: 2-3 rooms
• Support Staff: 1 PA/NP and office staff as needed.
• Supervision: Provider will be required to supervise Advance Practice Providers (no resident or teaching supervision required).
• Details: Must have recent Gastroenterology experience.
• EMR System: Epic

Licensing and Privileging:

• License: An active North Carolina state license or an IMLC membership is required.
• Willing to License: No
• Estimated Privileging Timeline: 60 days
