Shift Details

• Estimated Start Date: January 18, 2027
• Requested Date of Coverage and Schedule: January 18, 2027 – April 30, 2027
• Schedule Details: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Call Details: Scheduled clinical hours plus beeper call (20-minute response time required)
• Number of Shifts Needed per Month: 8 - 10
• Contract Length: Approximately 12 weeks
• Coverage Needed: 8 - 10 shifts per month
• Required Skills/Procedures: Ventilator management, intubations, EKG interpretation, pediatric care, newborn care, and newborn resuscitation.
• Preferred Skills/Procedures: Central line placement, arterial line placement, elective cardioversion, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis, minor laceration suturing, and incision and drainage (I&D).
• Certifications Needed: ACLS; ATLS; BLS; NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program; PALS
• Patient Population: Adult, pediatric, and newborn nursery patients. Must be comfortable treating both adult and pediatric patients and have experience providing newborn nursery care.
• Patient Volume: Census of approximately 30 - 35 patients
• Duties: One physician is responsible for rounding (unassigned patients) and admissions overnight. Must respond to hospital codes.
• Support Staff: Consulting specialists available in cardiology, nephrology, and oncology (No APP or resident supervision required).
• Case Mix: Inpatient (Open ICU)
• EMR System: MediTech 6.1

• License: An active North Carolina state license or an IMLC membership is required.
