Shift Details:

• Schedule Details: 5x8 shifts (Monday-Friday), plus night and weekend call
• Number of Shifts Needed per Month: Any one week in November and any 1-2 weeks in December
• Procedures: GI, fluids, lymphoma, GYN (Anatomic), breast, and lung/histotech, radiology and endo performs FNA / no bone marrow currently.
  • Pathology assistant does grossing and Pathologist does Frozen Sections
  • Immunohistochemistry done in-house
• Years of Experience Needed: 1-2; Fellowship training required.
• Patient Population/Case Load: 18,000 surgical cases/year and 4,000 cytology cases/year, Adult
• Case Mix: Acute Care Hospital, Hospital / Pathology Department
• Support Staff: Yes; assistant & Pathology Team
• EMR in Use: Cerner

• License: An active Pennsylvania state license or an IMLC membership is required.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pathology Physician for a locum tenens position at an acute care hospital in Pennsylvania. This opportunity is ideal for a physician who is board eligible and has experience in GI, fluids, lymphoma, GYN (Anatomic), breast, and lung/histotech. The position involves handling a high volume of surgical and cytology cases, providing critical pathology services to adult patients.

The role requires flexibility to cover shifts as needed, including night and weekend calls. This is an ongoing contract for PRN coverage, with specific needs for one week in November and 1-2 weeks in December.
