Shift Details:

- Requested Date of Coverage and Schedule: Coverage needs are a total of 3 weeks and 3 weekends
- Schedule Details: 5p-7a night call (Mon-Thurs) & weekends (Friday 5p-Mon 7a) - 3 weeks in total
- Procedures:
- Obstetrics: Low risk and high risk pregnancy management, FHR Interpretation - NST / CST / FSE
- Labor & Delivery: Routine and complicated deliveries, VBAC's, Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Gynecology: Surgery gynecology - open (operative / major), ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's
- Other: Suction D&C, Management of cesarean complications including hysterectomy
- Certifications Needed: ACLS; BLS; DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate; NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Patient Population/Case Load: Average of 60 deliveries per month
- Case Mix: Inpatient, Level III Trauma and NICU
- Trauma Level: Level 3
- Worksite Resources: Lab onsite, ultrasound onsite
- Support Staff: Fully staffed hospital with Labor and Deliver RNs and they have an Obstetric Emergency Department (OB ED)
- Number of Beds: 12 L&D
- Reason for Coverage: Need to cover 3 UCHealth physicians for primary call coverage.
- Deal Breakers: Providers who are unable to cover the full stints. Providers are not able to leave early and must be willing to stay the full duration.

Licensing and Privileging:
- License: An active Colorado state license or an IMLC membership is required.
- Willing to License: No
- Additional Note: If IMLC candidate, providers must complete their CO license application at time of acceptance to avoid any credentialing delays.
- Estimated Privileging Timeline: 90 days

Day to day

Practice details
- Not solo coverage
- Shift pattern: 24 Hour Call;Night Call
Case mix
- Setting: Inpatient, Level III Trauma and NICU
- Required Procedures/Job Duties: Obstetrics Required Procedures: Low risk (Pt's with pre-existing problems, history of twins, history of toxemia, pyelonephritis, hyperemesis, etc.), High risk pregnancy (Pt's with toxemia, diabetes, class II or higher cardiac, chronic lung problems, chronic renal disease, etc.), FHR Interpretation - NST / CST / FSE,
- Required Procedures/Job Duties: Labor & Delivery: Routine delivery (Vaginal, low forceps, decision making for C-section), Complicated delivery - (C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc.), VBAC's, Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations,
- Required Procedures/Job Duties: Gynecology: Surgery gynecology* - open (operative / major - includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's.
- Required Procedures/Job Duties: Other: Suction D&C. Management of cesarean complications to include hysterectomy.
Call
Night call Weekend Requirements: Yes - 3 weeks All call coverage is primary call coverage. it is not infrequent for them to be onsite for a significant amount of the shift.
