Shift Details

- Schedule Details: 24-Hour Beeper Call. 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM. 0 guaranteed hours and 0 hours for Overtime (OT)
- Procedures
- Neonatal airway management (including intubation)
- Management of neonatal air leak/pneumothorax (including needle decompression)
- Emergent UVC placement (Delivery Room)
- UVC/UAC placement (Note: Central line placement is not expected outside of the newborn period)
- Lumbar Puncture
- EKG Interpretation
- Preferred Procedures: Ventilator management and neonatal chest tube insertion
- Procedural Exemptions: Intubations and chest tube insertions for older pediatric patients are typically handled by ED physicians and Anesthesiology in the Emergency Department
- Patient Population: 80% NICU and 20% Pediatrics
- Case Mix: 100% Inpatient Call

The facility will strictly only consider providers with absolutely clean files for temporary privileges. Candidates with malpractice history, unclear NPDBs, large settlements, DUIs/drug issues, license restrictions, terminations, or Medical Board actions will be immediately declined.
