Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a suburban hospital setting in Wisconsin. This locum tenens position offers the opportunity to work in an inpatient environment with a focus on adult geriatric patients. The ideal candidate will be board certified and possess the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team. Day to day
Reason for Locum need: Leave/Vacation Coverage Charting requirements: Real Time/by end of Shift Onsite Support: RN The APP is expected to provide comprehensive clinical coverage for the assigned inpatient behavioral health census. On a typical full-census day, the APP should be capable of managing approximately 8–12 patient encounters, including psychiatric follow-ups, new admissions, discharges, and urgent clinical evaluations, while completing all required documentation and participating in interdisciplinary treatment planning. Productivity expectations will be adjusted based on patient acuity, admissions/discharges, clinical emergencies, staffing, and other patient-care responsibilities. Patient safety and quality of care take precedence over encounter volume.
