Day to day
A hospitalist is a physician or APP who provides basic care to patients at a hospital. While they undergo the same education and training as a primary care doctor, hospitalists specialize in hospital care. Providing general medical care to hospital patients Diagnosing and treating various illnesses and diseases in a hospital Examining patients as they're admitted Coordinating care for hospitalized patients Communicating with a patient's primary care doctor Following up with a patient's primary care doctor after their hospital stay Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, lab work, and X-rays Answering patient questions about treatments Unit Information: Staff on unit: Provider: 1 NP: 1 LPN: 1 Automated Medication dispensing system: Pixys
