- Required Procedures and Experience:
- Arterial line placement
- Central line placement
- Swan-Ganz catheterization
- IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) removal
- Must have proven experience managing highly complex cardiac support systems, specifically:
- VA & VV ECMO
- Impella
- LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Devices)
- Cardiac Transplant patients
- Patients Per Shift: 8-12
- Case Mix: Inpatient
- Trauma Level: Level 1
Licensing and Privileging
- License: An active Pennsylvania state license is required.
- Willing to License: No
- Estimated Privileging Timeline: 60-90 days

Day to day
Admissions Required?: Yes Is Hospital Stroke Certified?: Yes Rounding: Assigned Patients Department: Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) Cardiac Care Unit (CCU). The APP will primarily manage HVI CCU patients under the direct guidance of an attending Intensivist. Daily rounding, patient management, order entry, admissions, and post-operative management.
