- Certifications Needed: Must be able to resuscitate and stabilize critically ill newborns pending transport to NICU
- Patient Population/Case Load: Acuity level of patients: level 1 nursery but with high-risk deliveries
- Case Mix: Newborn Nursery, High-risk deliveries, ER consults, Pediatric inpatient unit

Day to day
Provider may remain out of the hospital when there are no acute hospital issues Must be able to return to the hospital within 20 minutes at all times while on call Provider: 1 MD pediatrics (locum or staff), 1 MD obstetrics and/or midwife Number of beds: variable, typically 4-10 newborns, 0-3 inpatient pediatrics

- Setting: 5, Day (24 Hours) 7:00 - 7:00; Weekday and weekend coverage required

24 Hour On Call 4 hours gratis if called in for patient care
