Shift Details:

  • Procedures: Insulin pump management, Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) management, supervision of the infusion center performing stimulation testing and other endocrine diagnostic tests
  • Certifications Needed: Relevant certifications in Pediatric Endocrinology
  • Patient Population/Case Load: Outpatient clinic management, video visits, inpatient consults, and hospital rounding
  • Case Mix: Diverse case mix including outpatient and inpatient care

Licensing Details:

  • License: An active California state license is required.

  • Estimated Privileging Timeline: 60-90 days

Day to day

Flexible model—generally consists of a half-day of clinic daily (video visits are an option) paired with inpatient rounding.

Practice details

  • Setting: Standard 5, Night (8 Hours) 19:00 - 7:00. 1 week per month, Mon-Fri 8a-5p, weeknight and weekend call

Case mix

  • Procedural Expectations:

Call

On Call required 24/7 call during the coverage week (weeknight and weekend call support for ER, NICU, PICU, and inpatient hospitalists). Callbacks are expected to be low/unlikely under this updated single-physician coverage model.
