We are seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position at a high-volume facility in Texas. Day to day
Admissions Required?: Yes Hospital Stroke Certified?: Yes Rounding: Both Daily Workflow: Perform scheduled colonoscopies in the GI lab. Round on Inpatient (IP) consults from the night before. Perform any required GI lab procedures for those IP consults following the scheduled procedures. The practice is structured for 3–4 GI physicians. Currently, there is only one full-time physician performing scopes and handling complex GI cases. Strong midlevel support team consisting of 2 NPs and 1 PA-C working in the GI clinic. They handle all pre- and post-procedure workups for patients needing scopes, allowing the physician to focus heavily on procedures and consults.

- High-volume facility with a very busy hospitalist service generating consistent IP consults. The hospitalist team handles all primary inpatient medical services until the GI locum consults.
