- Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: 10-20 for both locations, serving all ages
- Case Mix: Conditions include trauma, infections, tumors, metabolic disturbances, deformities, injuries, degenerative diseases, and more
Licensing and Privileging:
- License: An active Iowa state license or IMLC membership is required.

Day to day
Procedures offered in the practice: History and physical exam admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages to correct or treat various conditions, illnesses, and injuries of the extremities, spine, and associated structures by medical, surgical, and physical means. Such conditions include, but are not limited to, trauma, infections, tumors, metabolic disturbances of the musculoskeletal system, deformities, injuries, and degenerative diseases of the spine, hands, feet, knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow, and include primary and secondary muscular problems and the effects of central or peripheral nervous system lesions of the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons may provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit policies. They may also assess, stabilize, and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services.
