Shift Details

- Schedule Details: Full time, Monday to Friday 8 AM - 5 PM with shared call pool, APP support. On-call from 5 PM - 7 AM.
- Number of Shifts Needed per Month: As required to cover the schedule
- Procedures: FNA/Biopsy
- Certifications Needed: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
- Patient Population/Case Load: Primarily hematology (>90% heme,
- Case Mix: Inpatient consult service, outpatient clinic & infusion center. Cancer Center is attached to the hospital.
- Job Responsibilities: Participation on a Tumor Board, Orders Tests and Images, Prescribes necessary treatments

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hematology/Oncology Physician to join our team in Michigan. Day to day
Number of Physicians in Practice: 6 Radiation Oncologists Present During Locum Tenens Coverage: Yes APPs providing coverage: 5 inpatient (covering 2 hospitals), 6 outpatient Average Number of Patients Per Day - HOSPITAL (Call/Rounding): 10-15 Average Number of Patients Per Day - OUTPATIENT (Clinic/Office): 15 As a community practice they see a typical variety of malignant heme patients. they don’t do BMT or other advanced treatments typical to an academic center.

- This is for both malignant and benign hematology. Possibility of solid tumor, but that’s not the focus (i.e. if a solid tumor patient needs to be seen, that patient could be placed on the provider’s schedule). And then when this provider is on call for the practice, they could cover all patients (solid tumor and heme).
