Shift Details:

  • Patient Population/Case Load: Manage approximately 80 deliveries monthly in a high-volume, supportive environment
  • Case Mix: Perform daily rounding on post-operative and post-partum patients. Participate in a collaborative care model enhancing patient safety and community health

Licensing Details:

  • License: An active Iowa state license is required.

Day to day

Provide hospital support for OB & GYN patients in a busy inpatient setting Deliver collaborative care alongside a community health care partner (FQHC) and midwives Serve as regional referral resource for GYN patients Work within a multidisciplinary team including anesthesia, NICU, and midwives No separate “doc call” expected; full-time dedicated hospitalist role

  • Not solo coverage
  • Shift pattern: 24 Hour Call

Call

Provide 24-hour in-house coverage for labor & delivery, OB/GYN triage, and ER calls as needed (ER on call for GYN (and OB if needed) — integrated into in-house coverage; no separate “doc call”)

Cannot accept providers who have any malpractice cases that are in Probate or that require supervision.
