Day to day

Reason for Coverage: Shortage What Type(s) of Certification Does Your Laboratory Hold? CLIA, NYS Will the Locum Provider Be Responsible for Grossing Their Own Specimens? Yes Will the Locum Provider Be Cutting Their Own Frozen Sections on the Cryostat? Yes How Many Physicians in the Group? 4 How Many Histotechnologists? 5 How Many Pathology Assistants? 1 How Many Cytotechnologists? 2 Will the Locum Tenens Physician be Required to Supervise Other Healthcare Providers? No Will Other Pathologists Be Present During the Locum's Coverage? Yes Responsibilities will include general anatomic pathology, frozen section analysis, and cytology. The current surgical pathology volume is approximately 13,000 surgical specimens and 3,000 cytology specimens per year.
